Message from the Dean

Maling EbrahimpourWelcome to our third issue of Business@URI and congratulations to URI’s Class of 2016 that includes hundreds of up-and-coming business leaders!

On behalf of the College of Business, I would like to extend our congratulations to each graduate of our Class of 2016 — all 480 undergraduate and graduate students. I now encourage you to be bold, and with your new business knowledge and learning experiences, go forth and build a better world. Take chances and learn from your mistakes, not only to survive, but to thrive. The world needs you now!

While at URI, you have made many new friends, and no matter where you go, you are always connected to your alma mater. I urge all CBA alumni, near and far, to support our newest alumni if they reach out to you for help navigating their careers.

Of course, Commencement represents a culmination of efforts by the College faculty and staff to educate and support the future for an entire class of unique individuals. Great thanks to the CBA team for helping tomorrow’s business leaders set a firm foundation for their future careers.

As always, I welcome your questions and feedback, (mebrahimpour@uri.edu).

Sincerely,

Dr. Maling Ebrahimpour
