Richard J. Carroll ’74, a member of the College of Business Advisory Council, recently retired from IBM Corporation as the Chief Accounting Officer.

During his time at IBM, Rich created an internship program pipeline for URI students. More than 17 students have had the opportunity to intern at IBM and five of those students went on to work for the company. We are grateful to have Rich on our team—both for his partnership while at IBM and for his work on our Advisory Council member.

Rich also supports students through a scholarship he and his wife established and through his contributions to the Accounting Advisory Board Scholarship.
