Campus Recreation continues to focus on your holistic health & well-being and appreciates your patience and understanding as we adjust to our new normal on campus. Following all State and University health and safety protocols on COVID-19 recommendations and guidelines, the following changes have been implemented for this summer 2021.
URI Students Summer 2021 Memberships*

Mackal Field House (cardio, weight room, track, basketball courts) – open Monday-Friday afternoons, limited hours
Sailing Center – open weekends, limited hours - In-person & Virtual Group Exercise Classes – sign up with IMLeagues.com/uri app or website.
- Sign up for a URI Student Membership in person, must present a valid URI ID.
- Facility hours may change at any time.
- Summer 1 (May 24-July 9): $35
- Summer 2 (July 6-Aug 29): $35
- Summer 2021 (May 24-Aug 29): $60
*All students must apply in person and show a valid student URI ID when purchasing a membership, rates are prorated effective June 14, 2021. Memberships are non-refundable.

*Please note the price has been adjusted due to the closure of the Tootell Aquatic Center, and limited facility hours. Membership price will be prorated based on the time of registration. The $10 per/month facility upgrade fee to receive access to the Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center has been waived for Summer 2021.
Tootell Aquatic Center (TAC) Membership – will remain on pause
Due to scheduled maintenance, critical repair work, and lack of summer staff to operate the Tootell Aquatic Center (TAC), memberships will continue to be on pause. The pools will remain closed to the public this summer with the exception of a few external partners. We are planning to fully reopen for fall 2021 and will be communicating our progress and plans in August.
Summer Sailing Center Membership Fees
$225 for Recreational Sailing including kayak and SUP
$125 for kayak and SUP
Annual and Semester Membership for all groups will begin in September 2021. following the URI Academic calendar.
