Professional Science Masters Degree in Cyber Security

Now with an AI track

The Professional Science Master’s Degree in Cyber Security (PSM) is an online degree built to work around your schedule.

Flexible and Supportive

All of URI’s Professional Science Master’s Degree In Cybersecurity (PSM) is designed to support working professionals through flexible online instructor-guided learning, readily-available advising, and the ability for part-time enrollment. Students who can not currently commit to doing a full Master’s degree, can do a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity requiring only four courses, and then can continue on to a Master’s degree by taking five additional courses. For students with a non-technical background, the URI OnRamp To Cybersecurity program provides a bridge that prepares students for these graduate Cybersecurity programs.

Professionally Oriented

The PSM program is a unique combination of technical courses along with cybersecurity workplace skills, including a graduate internship in cybersecurity. The PSM courses lead to industry certifications including A+, Net+, Security+, Cyber Analyst+ and SecAI+ (AI Security) for students completing the AI Track. URI’s courses are developed and taught by teams of academic and industry experts to bring industry experience into the virtual classroom!

Securing the Future: AI is transforming the cybersecurity landscape and URI is at the forefront. The PSM in Cybersecurity now offers a dedicated AI Track that prepares graduates to both secure AI systems and leverage AI tools to strengthen cyber defense. Whether you want to protect machine learning models from adversarial attacks or deploy AI-driven threat detection, this track opens the door to one of the most in-demand skill sets in the industry. The AI Track aligns with the NSA/CAE CyberAI designation framework and prepares students for the new CompTIA SecAI+ certification.
