  • Katherine Laliberte ’25 - I am currently a senior kinesiology student at URI (class of '25). In my time at URI I have been an undergraduate teaching assistant in anatomy and physiology labs, conducted a biomechanics independent study, and administered exercise tests through our center for health and human performance.
  • Stephen Cirella Jr. ’27 - My research specifically focuses on body image in the athletic population, particularly collegiate athletes. My research emphasizes compulsive behaviors surrounding body image, such as body checking behaviors, and the role that society, culture, and sport play in contributing to body image disturbance (BID) and other potential comorbid mental health conditions.
  • Melissa Lodge ’26 - My research focuses on female athlete physiology and examining the associated health and performance outcomes associated with low energy availability and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport across the lifespan.
  • Christopher Simoneau ’26 - During my time at URI I have spent two years working with campus recreation at our two on-campus fitness centers as well as working as an undergraduate teacher’s assistant for anatomy and physiology labs.
  • Kylie McPhee ’25 - I’m starting my first year of the kinesiology ABM program this fall. I have previously been a KIN300 UTA and I have a strong passion for exercise physiology and biomechanics.
  • Aiden Fletcher ’25 - My current focus is graduating with my degree in Kinesiology. My goal is to become a student in a Physical Therapy Doctoral program once I graduate with my undergrad.
  • Brandon Weick ’20 - I am currently a graduate student in The University of Rhode Island’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. I am also serving as the student Core Ambassador for The Rhode Island Chapter of The American Physical Therapy Association.   • Justin Zeramby’18 - I am currently enrolled in my first year of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program at Johnson & Wales University. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in May of 2018.
  • Nelson Justa’18 - At the moment, I am concentrating on my studies in physical therapy at URI. I plan to get my National Strength and Conditional Association Certified Strength and Conditional Specialist (CSCS) certification, next summer (2019). 
  • Morgan McKenney’18 - I am a second year student in the University of Rhode Island Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program. I did the Early Contingent program so my senior year of undergraduate studies was my first year in the DPT program.
  • Marissa Pelli’18 - I graduated from URI in May 2018. I now attend Northeastern University in their accelerated Bachelor of Science in nursing degree. Here, I have been placed in clinicals at some of the most prestigious hospitals, such as Brigham and Women’s and Boston Children’s.
  • Hannah Scanlon’18 - Currently, I am pursuing a career in physical therapy and hope to specialize in sports medicine. My URI KIN degree helped me by providing a strong foundation in topics, such as exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, resistance training, and social and psychological aspects of exercise.
  • Kathleen Bicknell’18 - I am currently working as an exercise physiologist at The Center For Cardiac Fitness at The Miriam Hospital.  Through a multidisciplinary approach that includes prescribed exercise, counseling, education, and risk factor management I help patients with heart disease recover from cardiac events and implement changes to live healthier lives.   • Marte Johannessen’17 - I will be attending J&W PA program in Spring of 2019. My KIN degree gave me a strong foundation in the health sciences. Being a part of the URI Honors program and the URI prehealth advising program helped me with my decision to pursue a career as a physician assistant.
  • Elizabeth Heffernan’17 - I’m in my second semester of physical therapy school and am taking classes as well as looking at my first clinical site placement options. Thanks to my BS in KIN from URI I have a great foundation for my exercise science and movement system courses.
  • Holly Franke’17 - Currently I am in my second year of physical therapy school at Utica College. A lot has changed since graduating from URI. I just finished my first clinical at an Outpatient Physical therapy clinic in Massachusetts and I am planning for 2 future clinical's next fall and spring, one in pediatrics and one in inpatient rehab.
  • Julie Gastall’17 - After graduation, I started working at a medically based weight loss center. I am responsible for executing risk factor screening by reviewing PAR-Q forms, completing ACSM CAD forms and working with the medical team to ensure the PAR Med-X form has been completed and the patient is cleared for exercise.
  • Riley Bates’17 - I am very pleased with how prepared I feel in my graduate program.  The URI Kinesiology program really helped me to learn the important facts and skills that will guide me through school to eventually become a physical therapist.
  • Chelsey Da Silva ’16 - Chelsey Da Silva is from Fall River, MA and received both her bachelors and masters in exercise science from Kinesiology. She speaks very highly about the program as it provided her with numerous opportunities to succeed, such as being a GA on the faculty lead J-term trip to Hawaii, having multiple internships and developing the skills needed for this field etc.
  • Jane Baruch ’16 - Jane Baruch is graduating this May from URI with a Master's degree in Exercise Science. What she love about the graduate program here at URI is the close collaboration and interaction with the professors and experience to teach labs while being a graduate student.
  • Donovan Walker ’16 - Donovan Walker will be moving back to New York to pursue his teaching career. He is one of the first students to have completed their degree under the new MATCP graduate program. He did his internships at Rhode Island public schools and at URI with the strength and conditioning coaches.
  • Jackie Greaves ’16 - Jackie Greaves is a MATCP Graduate, Class of 2016. She came to URI as a graduate transfer student. The best part of her URI experience was learning activities that make her think outside the box and also working with the students in her practicum and student teaching experiences...
  • Nicholas Lemme’13 - A Rhode Island native, and a La-Salle Academy alumnus, Nicholas completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rhode Island. As a competitive soccer player and amateur boxer, Nick knew early he wanted a career in which he could be involved with athletes. This led Nick to pursue a B.S. in Exercise Science/ Kinesiology at URI.
  • Ronald Scott ’10 - Ronald Scott was initially thinking of going into physical therapy but had a change of heart when he discovered an unexpected interest in the human heart. He took an internship at Miriam Hospital, and was offered a position there after he graduated.
  • Jessica Russo Jessica Russo ’10 - Jessica Russo speaks highly of the individual attention the kinesiology professors give their students. She is planning to head into a doctoral physical therapy program after graduating.
  • Chris Raymond ’10 - As an exercise specialist with Plus One, a corporate fitness and wellness company,  Chris Raymond spends his day running group fitness classes, teaching clients safe and effective exercise programs, and promoting wellness for the employees at Raytheon.
