Or maybe you’ve never registered online and would like a demonstration! OLLI is offering two drop-in sessions to help you prepare for registration. Don’t miss out on the classes you want to register for this summer!.

FREE OSHER ONLINE EVENT: An Osher Online summer community event, “My Wild Life” will be on Thursday, June 12 at 5pm ET. The speaker, Stephanie Arne, is an accomplished international wildlife conservationist, expedition guide, TV personality, and a spirited and engaging storyteller. Come hear Stephanie’s exciting journey through Africa, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Hawai’i before winning a contest to become Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom’s Wild Guide and the wild stories she showcased in the show from 2013 to 2018. Presentation will be 60 minutes followed by Q&A. This event is FREE and available to ALL members (even if you haven’t previously taken an Osher Online class). BIKING GROUP- Did you know OLLI has a Biking Group? The OLLI Biking Group gathers on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00AM for a weekly ride (weather permitting). The group meets at the back of the OLLI lot (#21) near the bike path. The ride is approximately 8 miles, including connecting with the SK Bike Path. Register online and join other OLLI bikers for a casual ride and enjoy the fresh air and exercise! Facilitated by Art Schloth, 401-304-5964. Register online or call the office 401.874.4197.

NEW SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP- CRIBBAGE Join the group and have some fun! If you’ve never played Cribbage it’s a great time to learn! It involves strategy, social interaction, and analytic thought. It’s good for brain health which can even reduce the risk of dementia and depression. Register Online and meet in the OLLI lobby on Wednesdays, at 2:00PM. If you have a board, please bring it along.

URI DEPARTMENT OF ART AND ART HISTORY PRESENTS The Way We See: A Visual and Emotional Conversation, May 27 – September 5, Closing Reception September 4, 4:30-7pm in Green Hall. An Exhibit by noted Rhode Island painter, Anthony D. Tomaselli. – Two Series of works done 30 years apart, both expressively painted, both visually stimulating. Two ways of seeing and expressing personal experiences and feelings. The artworks invite the viewer to participate, to engage, to interpret, to create the narrative. Ask yourself: Do we ever change, grow, or improve? Is life just a series of pendulum swings, and ever repeating patterns? You decide! On exhibit in the URI Green Hall and Higgins Welcome Center.
