Choose from 4 convenient ways to register:
1. Online: Starting at 7:00 AM
2. By phone: Starting at 9:00 AM (Call 401-874-4197)
3. Walk-in: Starting at 9:00 AM
4. Mail: download the summer registration form from our website (or pick one up in the office). Fill it out and include a check (made out to URI). Remember to allow enough time for US mail or drop the form off in the office prior to June 10. Mail in registrations will be completed at 9AM on registration day.
Important Preparation Tips:
- Password Update Required: If you haven’t already done so – OLLI users must reset their passwords to meet enhanced security standards (minimum 12 characters). When you sign in, you may see a pop-up notification prompting the change if needed. Don’t wait—update your password today so you’re ready to register on Tuesday.
- Check Your Membership Renewal Date: Your membership must be active throughout the duration of your classes. The system will now prompt you to renew if necessary.

Changes to Summer Catalog:
- The class Challenges to Reporting the New: The Transformation of Journalism, has been canceled.
- The class title Roger Williams, Friend or Foe, is missing from the top of the page in the catalog on page 25. The four classes offered by the Tomaquag Museum are: Roger Williams, Friend or Foe, The Strength of the Indigenous Women, Water is Life, Land Back.
SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS (SIGS) & OLLI EXTRAS – Current Registration will expire in June. Register now for the upcoming year. SIGS are FREE with your OLLI membership but registration is required.
CLASS SPOTLIGHT – Register online or call 401-874-4197.
Creativity & Play– Thursday, June 12 at 10AM with Sandra Enos. This OLLI special interest group meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM in person for up to two hours to pursue fun, play, and creativity. The group may explore drawing, painting, sculpture, creative writing, poetry, creative challenges, community projects, movement and games, and much more. Details of events and locations emailed to those who register.

FREE OSHER ONLINE EVENT: An Osher Online summer community event, “My Wild Life” will be on Thursday, June 12, at 5pm ET. The speaker, Stephanie Arne, is an accomplished international wildlife conservationist, expedition guide, TV personality, and a spirited and engaging storyteller. Come hear Stephanie’s exciting journey through Africa, Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Hawai’i before winning a contest to become Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom’s Wild Guide and the wild stories she showcased in the show from 2013 to 2018. Presentation will be 60 minutes followed by Q&A. This event is FREE and available to ALL members (even if you haven’t previously taken an Osher Online class). BIKING GROUP- Did you know OLLI has a Biking Group? The OLLI Biking Group gathers on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00AM for a weekly ride (weather permitting). The group meets at the back of the OLLI lot (#21) near the bike path. The ride is approximately 8 miles, including connecting with the SK Bike Path. NEW SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP- CRIBBAGE Join the group and have some fun! If you’ve never played Cribbage it’s a great time to learn! It involves strategy, social interaction, and analytic thought. It’s good for brain health which can even reduce the risk of dementia and depression. Register Online and meet in the OLLI lobby on Wednesdays, at 2:00PM. If you have a board, please bring it along.

URI’S METCALF INSTITUTE PRESENTS – Author Julian Agyeman will speak at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, Tuesday, June 10, 3:30 p.m., as part of the URI Metcalf Institute’s annual public lecture series. Agyeman will deliver the 2025 Leeson Lecture, part of Metcalf’s Annual Science Immersion Workshop for Journalists, which will take place in the Corless Auditorium at URI’s Narragansett Bay Campus. Agyeman, a professor of urban and environmental policy and planning at Tufts University, will discuss “Just Sustainabilities in Policy, Planning and Practice.” His research focuses on environmental and food justice and the nexus of food and immigration, but he consults and presents around the world. The lecture is free and open to the public. Registration is requested but not required.
GARDENING WITH THE MASTERS– July 19 and July 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
A biennial, two-day event that allows ticket holders to visit the beautiful gardens of (and tended by) certified URI Master Gardener volunteers. Tour participants have the opportunity to go behind the gates at gardens that showcase environmentally-friendly gardening practices across Rhode Island. Examples of practices on display include hot and cold composting, native plant pollinator gardens, hugelkultur, low-input vegetable growing, drip irrigation, small-space and container gardening, and more! Admission tickets are $30/each. Each ticket admits one visitor to all the gardens open during the official tour weekend. During the registration process, you will have the option to purchase multiple tickets (up to ten). Ticket purchases are non-refundable. Tickets are transferable in the event that you are unable to attend the tour. Bring Family and Friends, but kindly leave your pets at home with the exception of service animals: Admission is free for youth under 18 accompanied by an adult.

BOOK LAUNCH: The Good Goodbye: The Transformative Power of Conversation at the End of Life by Maureen Keely and Julie Yingling (OLLI Member).
