OLLI Travel Returns

We are looking forward to traveling in 2023!

We have joined forces with Collette Tours, and we invite you to make suggestions of trips and destinations you may wish to explore with other OLLI members. Join us on Thursday, May 12, at OLLI from 1:00-2:00pm to take a virtual tour of possible trips. Sit back and enjoy! We will be showing a preview of four possibilities: Canyon Country, Holland and Belgium, California Dreamin, and Costa Rica. Friends are invited to join you at this special presentation.

Openings in ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE Tour

The date of the Animal Rescue League Tour has been changed to Monday, May 16. There are several openings so if you would like to register, please call the office 401-874-4197. We will continue to accept donations until the tour. They are in great need of cat food items. There is a collection bin outside the office door.

CLASS SPOTLIGHTS: Click here to register or call 401-874-4197

The Spirit of Flight
3 Sessions with Jet Vertz, starting Tuesday, May 10, at 2:00PM.

Our human quest for mastering flight has taken us on a journey that has not only allowed us to soar like eagles, but we have also been able to successfully fly faster than the speed of sound, go to the moon and back, and we are now exploring the surface of Mars. We will examine how we have mastered flight, encountered mysteries, experienced tragedies, and where we may be headed in the future.

The Evolution of Diplomacy
3 Sessions with Andrew Brem, starting May 10, at 9:30AM

Foreign policy as it exists today is a relatively new concept. This course will trace the evolution of diplomacy from the 17th century to the present touching on the basic themes including Cardinal Richelieu’s raison d’état, England’s role in balance of power, and Wilson’s idealism versus real politik.
