Controlled Substance Use

Proper Rhode Island Department of Health and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licenses are required for the use of controlled substances in animals. All controlled substance use in animals must be stated in an approved IACUC protocol. State registration as “Researcher” is required before obtaining the federal license.
