The URI Honors Program offers high-achieving students a powerful academic experience and a standout undergraduate education. You will dive deeper into your chosen major through small, discussion-based classes that offer opportunities to collaborate with top university faculty. We will support and encourage you to conduct independent research, lead creative projects, engage in real-world problem-solving, and participate in URI’s annual Honors Colloquium.

How to Apply
- Complete your response to the question on the Common Application about your interest in being considered for the Honors Program. Your statement should be 250 words or less, and the prompt invites you to pitch a creative theme for a future Honors Colloquium, explaining why the topic matters to you, how it connects to current world events, and why it could captivate the attention of the campus community.
- Submit your Common Application by the priority deadline, December 1.
