Activities COVID-19 Pandemic Reimbursement Policies:
URI Campus Recreation standard policy is that refunds are not permitted. However, due to the current Pandemic situation, we are issuing customers reimbursement of a prorated amount for activities impacted by facility closures.
- The reimbursement amount will be determined based upon the level of services provided prior to the closure date of Saturday, March 14, 2020.
- Customers will be credited a balance onto their URI Campus Recreation account unless a Request for Refund form is submitted.
Balances (Credit) to Account
- All balances credited to a URI Campus Recreation account do not expire.
- Balances on account may be used for all URI Campus Recreation programs.
- Balances on account are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- Accounts will be credited on or about April 15, 2020.
Refunds
- All refund requests must be received through the below URI Campus Recreation COVID-19 Request for Refund form.
- Requests made via phone or email are not accepted.
- The method in which you receive a refund is dependent upon the method of your original payment.
- Credit Card: If payment was made by credit/debit card, the refund amount will be returned to the same card.
- Cash: If payment was made by cash, the customer must complete a W-9 form to initiate the refund process. W-9 form will be sent after the Request for Refund Form is submitted.
- Check: If payment was made by check, the customer must complete a W-9 form and attach a copy of their cashed check to initiate the refund process. W-9 form will be sent after the Request for Refund Form is submitted.
- Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for processing of a refund.
- All COVID-19 Request for Refund Forms must be submitted within 60 days of initial email communication sent to registered customers. Requests made after 60 days will not be considered, and credit to URI Campus Recreation account will be the only option.
Memberships:
Membership access will be extended to compensate for the URI Campus Recreation facilities building closures. The length of the extension will be determined at a later date. Once a decision is made, all members will be notified of the length of the extension of access via email.
