The Wellness Resource Center (WRC) provides a relaxing atmosphere and a safe, comfortable space for you to escape the stresses of life. The WRC is located on the lower level of the Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center.

Well-being Coaching for all URI students

Well-being Coaching offers one on one meetings with a certified Well-being Coach, who is trained to identify your strengths and support you with a goal or behavior change. Your coach will guide you holistically and support you through day-to-day struggles. Whether you are just starting out on your journey optimizing your well-being or are trying to maintain behavior and would like more accountability, we are here for you!

Exercise is Medicine for all URI students

Exercise is Medicine (EIM) is a global health initiative founded by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and American Medical Association (AMA) in 2007. EIM recognizes physical activity assessment and promotion as integral to the prevention and treatment of chronic conditions and diseases. Campus Recreation, Health Services, and the Counseling Center have partnered together to 

  • Make movement a part of the daily campus culture
  • Assess physical activity at every student health visit
  • Provide students the tools necessary to strengthen healthy activities that can last a lifetime
  • Connect university health care providers with university health fitness specialists to provide a referral system for exercise prescription
