Smoothie Making Hacks
- It works way better if you use frozen fruit, rather than room-temperature fruit for smoothies. You can buy pre-frozen and chopped fruit from the grocery store, but you also can use any kind of fruit and freeze it yourself. This is an especially great idea if you have fruit that is starting to get too ripe – just cut it up and throw it in the freezer for later.
- Taste the smoothie each time you check the consistency. Your favorite flavor might be different than the recipe, and it helps to get an idea of what you need to add more of.
- Drink the smoothies right away after they’re done – they turn gross and watery within about 10 minutes if you let them sit too long.
