Community Rec & TAC Memberships Suspended
The University remains committed to an on-campus return of living and learning this fall, with modified operations and, the health and well-being of our students, faculty/staff, and affiliates as our top priority, as we address the COVID-19 global health crisis. Due to the nature of this pandemic and the effect it has had not only our operations but the entire campus community, the difficult decision was made to suspend all Community Rec and TAC memberships and programs until further notice.
The Campus Recreation team has been working on a reopening plan that allows only URI students and Platinum Members (URI Employees/Affiliates) to use the recreation facilities on campus while following federal, state, and local agency recommendations.
We understand that this may be a disruption to those in the community who have become accustomed to having access to the campus facilities.
What You Should Know About Your Membership (Community Rec & TAC Memberships)
- All memberships that were active at the time of the closure date (March 16, 2020) have already received a prorated credit to your Campus Rec account, through August 31, 2020.

- The total amount of your credit will vary based on the following pro-ration criteria: active membership days that passed after the closure date; the membership type; and the length of membership purchased (1-month, 3-month, annual).
