C. Recommendations of the Executive Committee – Vice Chairperson Leonard

1. That the Faculty Senate approve the formation of an ad hoc committee on the assessment of general education to allow current members of the Subcommittee on the Assessment of General Education (SAGE) to continue their work through 2018. Once the ad hoc committee has completed its work, it will transition its responsibilities to the Teaching, Advising, and Assessment Committee.

2. That the Faculty Senate approve the formation of an ad hoc committee to develop training materials associated with the new standing committees of the Senate and work with the new committee chairs during summer 2018.

3. That the Faculty Senate authorize the Senate Executive Committee to act on behalf of the Senate and be granted the powers of the Senate to approve undergraduate General Education courses between April 20 and May 18, 2018.
