Ocean Classroom (Narragansett Bay)
The Narragansett Bay Classroom (NBC), now part of GSO’s Ocean Classroom program, offers a variety of marine and environmental short courses, lectures, tours, field trips, interpretive programs, camps, and training opportunities for people of all ages.
URI’s outreach scientists lead educational field trips at a variety of locations within southern Rhode Island. Field trips explore local flora and fauna of the environments and offers participants a chance to become field scientists. Learn more.

Summer Camps
Oceanography Explorers Camp is URI Graduate School of Oceanography’s summer time day camp. Through a variety of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and field investigations, campers explore a core oceanographic theme (biological oceanography, geological oceanography, chemical oceanography, physical oceanography, and/or ocean exploration/technology).
