Biography

I currently manage a program that funds research in RI coastal marine systems, then, through extension and outreach, applies research findings to help resolve coastal and marine issues and problems in the state. The program also communicates research findings, and their application, to non-scientists to improve understanding and foster support for improved management of coastal ecosystems. I previously worked in the coastal extension arm at RI Sea Grant, working with local municipalities and state and regional agencies to bring scientific research findings into decision-making.
