Biography

I am a marine research associate in the laboratory of Dr. Roxanne Beinart, where I study the evolutionary ecology of animal-microbe symbioses at deep-sea hydrothermal vents and cold seeps. I am also working with the D’Hondt laboratory to understand the taxonomic composition and adaptation of sediment microbial communities in oceanic trenches. I maintain collaborations outside GSO with the Schwartz Lab on main campus, the Girguis Lab at Harvard University and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.
