
For over 60 years, the Beach Survey Program at URI’s Graduate School of Oceanography has tracked shoreline change along Rhode Island’s south shore. With measurements taken year-round at seven sites, this long-running dataset helps scientists understand beach erosion and sediment transport—critical for studying the impacts of storms and sea level rise.
