Ocean Classroom (Spots): Ocean Ecogeochemistry Lab

You are what you eat, as the saying goes. The Ocean Ecogeochemistry Lab on the University of Rhode Island’s Bay Campus uses stable isotopes to understand the life history of animals based on what they’ve eaten. This allows Graduate School of Oceanography associate professor Kelton McMahon and his team of students and postdocs to dive into big questions about food security, coastal health and resilience, and how warming waters are redistributing ocean life. Learn more about the science and the people of the Ocean Ecogeochemistry Lab.
