URI’s Marine Geological Samples Repository is committed to education and public outreach. We welcome visitors, students, and established scientists alike to come to tour or work in our facility. We also provide geologic materials to lend for educational purposes.
Tours
Come and visit the MGSL to learn what happens to a sample once it arrives at our facility, get an up close look at our rocks and cores, and learn about the science that the samples support.
MGSL offers 15-45 minute tours to:
- School/youth/camp groups
- College/university classes from URI and beyond
- General public
