GSO hosts Air-Sea Interaction: A Symposium in Honor of Isaac Ginis and Tetsu Hara

The University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography hosted “Air-Sea Interaction: A Symposium in Honor of Isaac Ginis and Tetsu Hara” on June 11–12, 2026, celebrating the careers and scientific contributions of two longtime faculty members ahead of their retirement.

Held in Corless Auditorium in the Watkins Building, the two-day symposium brought together colleagues, collaborators, students, and alumni to highlight advances in air-sea interaction research and recognize the lasting impact of Ginis and Hara’s work in oceanography and atmospheric science.
