Jazz Orchestra arrangements have strings and other orchestral instruments with a rhythm section that might be improvised to some degree, or they might have important string parts added to an otherwise standard jazz big band chart.  Many of these are pop vocal features, such as those Mike Renzi arranged for operatic baritone, Samuel Ramey.

A number 1 or a Y in the score column means there’s a score present with the parts in the file envelope.  These envelopes are in a file cabinet marked JO in the jazz area of the Instrumental Ensemble Library room in the Music Annex.  Any score marked Oversized or OVSZ is in a file cabinet behind the Resource Center Manager’s desk.
