Upon the retirement of Gene Pollart, Ann Danis and Margaret Frazier in the Spring of 2022 there was much music to be had by students and faculty as the retirees cleared out their offices, some of that music was added to the Music Resource Center holdings during the Summer and continuing into the Fall.

In addition there was a large donation of cabaret songbooks,  jazz piano books and original manuscripts of popular songs in arrangements for voice and studio orchestra from the collection of the late legendary jazz pianist from RI, Mike Renzi, in whose name a scholarship for URI Music Students is currently being established.  Mike was music director for the Sesame Street TV program in the late 90s and early 2000s, as well as music director for stage reviews and recording sessions for singers such as Tony Bennett, Liza Minelli, Lena Horne and Steve Lawrence. He also directed classical crossover projects for the opera singers Samuel Ramey and Sumi Jo.

Other significant donations of  music came from URI Music student, Caleb Hilyard, whose long time family friend, Judith Davidoff, played cello (and judging from the quality of music donated, she played at a very high level indeed!),  and from long time East Greenwich/South County piano teacher Helene Gersuny.
