Albert LaFarge, PhD, founded the Albert LaFarge Literary Agency in 2003. He is a generalist in his practice of representing authors of works in a wide variety of styles, forms, and disciplines; he manages the literary estates of George V. Higgins and William H. Whyte, among others. The agency represents cultural institutions including the Seaport Museum of New York and the Museum of the City of New York, and is currently collaborating on a project with the Library of Congress. In recent years he has oriented his practice increasingly toward works of scholarly interest with potential appeal beyond the disciplines. He has taught writing and editing at Wilkes University and Harvard University, and is currently a visiting lecturer in Liberal Arts at MassArt.
