Rebecca Walker is the author of the New York Times bestseller Black, White and Jewish and the critically acclaimed Baby Love: Choosing Motherhood After a Lifetime of Ambivalence. She has also edited a number of anthologies, including Black Cool: One Thousand Streams of Blackness and To Be Real: Telling the Truth and Changing the Face of Feminism. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, Bookforum, Newsweek, Vibe, Real Simple, Essence, and many more. Her first novel, Ade: A Love Story, is currently being adapted for film, with Madonna attached to direct. Time Magazine named her one of the most influential leaders of her generation. She also wrote for a parenting blog for The Root for a year and co-starred in the film Primary Colors, with Emma Thompson and John Travolta. Most recently she worked with Jill Soloway and appeared on the powerful Amazon series Transparent.
