Talvikki Ansel’s recent book of poems is Somewhere In Space, winner of the Ohio State University Press / The Journal Award in Poetry. She is the author of My Shining Archipelago (1997), winner of the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award, and Jetty & other poems (2003). She received a MFA in creative writing from Indiana University; her awards include a Stegner Fellowship, Pushcart Prize, a Lannan Residency, and a grant from the Money for Women / Barbara Deming Memorial Fund.

Talvikki Ansel is also teaching an Online Summer Creative Writing Course at the University of Rhode Island, which  includes admission to the Main Conference.
