URI Club Tennis was founded in 2014 and was officially recognized as a club sport in 2015. We are a team that is rapidly growing both in size and competitiveness. We play World Team Tennis Format which is a one-set match with matches being composed of one singles and doubles match of each gender and one co-ed match. The games won from each of these matches are added together to receive the total team score. So what does it mean to be a member of URI Club Tennis? Joining URI Tennis means a commitment to the game and a team atmosphere. Practices run throughout the week with flexibility for being an everyday college student. Matches run throughout the year with other club teams from various New England area schools! Make new friends and grow your game all at the same time. We embody an E.A.T. to WIN mentality… Effort, Attitude, and Teamwork!”
