Alcohol

Set a limit
 Decide in advance how many drinks you will have and stick to that number. Sharing your plan with a friend can help you stay accountable.

Know standard drink sizes
 Alcohol content isn’t about cup size—it’s about how much pure alcohol is in your drink. A standard drink equals:

  • 12 oz. of beer (about 5% alcohol)
  • 5 oz. of wine (about 12% alcohol)
  • 1.5 oz. of distilled spirits (about 40% alcohol)
