What to Expect

Prior to scheduling an appointment with us, you will have a brief pre-screening meeting (in person or on the phone) with a counselor to discuss your needs.

Pre-Screenings are offered:
Monday – Friday
10:00 AM– 3:00 PM

  • You’ll be asked to complete some forms and sign our welcome letter electronically which will take approximately 15 minutes. 
  • You will then speak briefly (15-20 minutes) via phone or in person with a counselor to talk about your reasons for coming in and to explore the options available to you.  
  • Options could include short-term individual or group therapy at the Counseling Center or our care management services to help you find long-term therapy the community, medication management, and more. 

* Please note that at busier times waits can exceed an hour. Please plan accordingly.

If you are in crisis

If you are in need of space to attend a teletherapy appointment:

  • The Counseling Center has a limited number of private rooms that can be reserved for you to attend tele/video therapy appointments.  Call us at 401-874-2288 to inquire about availability.
