High Profile Business Alumni Discuss Credit Crisis

Three high profile alumni from the College of Business Administration came back this spring and gave their perspectives on the credit crisis and some thoughts on the future during a public panel discussion that was part of the Vangermeersch Endowed Lecture series. Mark Higgins, dean of the College of Business Administration, served as moderator.

The panelists, Margo L. Cook ’86, executive vice president for investment services at Nuveen Investments, Inc.; Barry Knapp ’84, managing director, equity research at Barclays Capital in New York; and Christopher J. Wolfe ’91, chief investment officer, managing director of private banking and investment group at Merrill Lynch, discussed the causes of the economic crisis, its effect on regulation, and its impact on career opportunities in finance.
