Rhody Team Doctor Recognized
In the fall of 2013, the Rhode Island Athletic Trainers Association recognized Dr. Ramin R. Tabaddor for providing valuable services to the profession of athletic training.
Dr. Tabaddor, who works at South County Orthopedics, serves as the head team physician for URI football and facilitates care of all URI student-athletes. A board-certified orthopedist specializing in operative and non-operative sports medicine injuries, Tabaddor also specializes in arthroscopic surgical management of disorders in and around the hip.
He sits on the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, helping to ensure the health and safety of all high school athletes in the state. Tabaddor also is a clinical Assistant Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. He has provided physician coverage for the Boston Ballet, the USA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, the NCAA basketball tournament, junior U.S. Cup Soccer, University of Minnesota football and other collegiate and high school sports.
