Tsunami Science - May 17, 7pm
Presented by: Christina Wertman and Lauren Schambach
Tsunamis are a risk we don’t often think about here on the East Coast of the United States. However, both storms and underwater landslides can generate tsunamis and pose a threat to our coastal communities, even here in Rhode Island. Join the Bay Informed Discussion Series on Thursday, May 17th to learn about these tsunamis and the detection methods and modeling capabilities used to aid in tsunami hazard assessment in our region. All ages welcome!
