GSO alum Dayna Rignanese received her Masters of Oceanography in 2013. She presently works as the National Interpretation Coordinator for the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, in support of NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. Her work ranges from helping design a Sanctuary Visitor’s Center in Hawaii, to writing and editing brochures and publications, to helping school children understand why we need to protect the ocean. She spoke about “Reaching the Next Ocean Stewards” and asks, “Are you interested in inspiring the next ocean stewards? Since graduating from GSO, I have worked with multiple non-profits, including supporting NOAA, in informal education, outreach, and communications, to help people understand why it is so important to protect the ocean.”
