Rhody Outpost
URI’s principal basic needs pantry for students experiencing food insecurity. The Outpost provides fresh and non-perishable food and personal care items at no charge to students.
Located at the Dining Services Warehouse and open for pickup on Fridays from 3-5:30 pm or by appointment.
Student First Fund
Provides additional emergency support to URI students with demonstrated financial need.
Grubhub and Meaningful Mondays
Anyone with a meal plan can make dining dollars donations through Grubhub and allocate dining dollars throughout the year on ‘Meaningful Mondays.’ Donors can give $5 in Dining Dollars to a fund which gets redistributed to students in need.

Too Good To Go App
Unsold food from your favorite restaurants, grocery stores, cafés, and shops goes to waste simply because it isn’t sold in time. The Too Good To Go app makes it easy to make a difference, allowing you to buy Surprise Bags of good food at an even better price.
St. Peter’s by-the-sea Community Market
The Community Market is open every Friday from 3-5pm to all who need food assistance; offering canned goods, frozen foods, fresh produce, and a selection of personal care items.
Jonnycake Center for Hope

Members are invited to shop at the Jonnycake Market once a month, or more often if necessary, and bring home a week’s worth of food for their family. This includes fresh produce, meats and poultry, eggs and milk, non-perishable items, cereal, bread, paper goods, and a host of other items.

Dinner Table Meals are provided for Pick-up or Delivery on Wednesday and/or Friday Evening between 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. To sign up for a Meal:

Be sure to include Address, Phone Number, and Number of Meals
If you are picking up your meal, remain in the car and a Volunteer will bring the meal to you.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP is a government assistance program that helps low-income households pay for nutritious food. Rhode Islanders can use the SNAP Outreach website to apply for nutrition assistance.
