How do storms play a role in how the ocean moves heat around? The Ocean Dynamics Lab designs, builds and sends oceanographic instruments called C-PIES to the bottom of the ocean to investigate just that. This globally-connected lab uses these instruments to measure how sound moves through the water, gather data on temperature and answer questions about the ocean’s role in climate.
