Narragansett Bay Classroom

The Narragansett Bay Classroom (NBC) is a vehicle through which URI’s Office of Marine Programs offers a variety of marine and environmental short courses, lectures, tours, field trips, interpretive programs, camps, and training opportunities for people of all ages.


Summer Camps

Ocean Science Exploration Camp at the Inner Space Center

ISC oceanography summer camp photo.The Inner Space Center (ISC) at URI’s Graduate School of Oceanography in Narragansett, RI, offers an Ocean Science Exploration Camp for youth ages 11-15. During this weeklong day camp, ocean explorers will engage in hands-on activities and investigations, tune into live oceanographic expeditions, meet scientists, and learn about different ocean careers. Each session focuses on a different aspect of oceanography. Throughout the week, campers will conduct field investigations and apply scientific techniques to fields such as biological or geological oceanograpy. Camp cost: $495 per/camper.
