Metcalf Institute for Marine & Environmental Reporting has announced that Canadian author Alanna Mitchell is the winner of the 2010 Grantham Prize for Excellence in Reporting on the Environment. Mitchell,author of the extraordinary book “Sea Sick: The Global Ocean in Crisis”published in Canada by McClelland & Stewart and by The University of Chicago Press in the U.S., is the first book author and the first Canadian entrant to receive the US$75,000 Grantham Prize.
